Myroslav Korchynsky

Myroslav Korchynskyi was born in the village of Krushelnytsia, Ukraine. In 1965, he graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (now Lviv National Music Academy) in the accordion class. Subsequently, Korchynskyi studied composition with Myroslav Skoryk and Stanislav Lyudkevych (graduating in 1969). In 1968 he joined the Lviv National Music Academy faculty in the folk instruments, theory, composition, and orchestral conducting departments. From 1995 to 2001, Korchynskyi was head of the Lviv regional branch of the Union of Composers of Ukraine.
